Short-Term Health Plans

We can help you fill the gaps in health coverage when life goes in a different direction.

What is a Short-Term Plan?

Short-term health insurance is designed to provide temporary coverage, typically lasting from a few months to a year (depending on state regulations). Short-term plans usually have lower monthly premiums, but they do not follow Affordable Care Act (ACA) rules. That means they may not cover pre-existing conditions, may exclude certain benefits (such as maternity, mental health, or prescription drugs), and may have coverage limits. If you’re considering one, it’s important to understand what’s covered (and what’s not) before enrolling. Give us a call to see if a short-term health option is right for you.

Short-term insurance plans are ideal to help fill a gap:

  • If you’re between jobs

  • If you lost coverage from a spouse and you're waiting for other coverage to begin

  • If you lost coverage from your parents at the age of 26 and are waiting for other coverage to begin

  • If you missed Open Enrollment
